Astra Enterprise Park is 9,000+ acres located southwest of De Soto. If Astra Enterprise Park were a city, it would be the 16th largest in Kansas. At 14 square miles, the park is larger than these Kansas cities: Pittsburg, Junction City, Emporia – and even De Soto.
This business park is home to Panasonic’s 300-acre electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility, scheduled to open in Spring 2025.
The Park includes:
- 2,700 acres to parks and public benefits
- 1,350 acres zoned industrial
- 3,000 acre utility-scale solar
- 2,500 acres multi-use/light industrial
The Astra Enterprise Park is located on the site of the former Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant which will be fully remediated by 2028.
When complete, the park will be shrouded by thousands of acres of public parks, hundreds of acres dedicated to public service, as well as state-of-the-art manufacturing, industrial and energy-production developments.
