Youth Sports & Recreation Programs
Youth Soccer (Spring 2026)
To provide an opportunity for girls and boys to play soccer in an organized, competitive, yet recreational setting. Emphasis is placed on fundamentals, teamwork, playing time, and sportsmanship.
Registration & Fees
- Fee: $35.00 (includes team shirt)
- Deadline: Friday, February 6th, 2026
- Late Fee: $15.00 (applies after deadline)
- Refund Policy: No refunds after Friday, February 13th, 2026
- Scholarships: Available for those who apply before February 6th, 2026
Eligibility & Divisions
- Age/Grade Requirements:
- Pre-Kindergarten: Must be 4 years old by February 6th, 2026
- Participants must register for the grade they are currently attending
- Players may move up one grade level if they meet minimum age/grade requirements
- Game Format & Divisions:
- Pre-K - Kindergarten (4v4)
- 1st & 2nd Grade (6v6)
- 3rd & 4th Grade Girls (9v9)
- 3rd & 4th Grade Boys (9v9)
- 5th & 6th Grade Girls (9v9)
- 5th & 6th Grade Boys (9v9)
- 7th & 8th Grade Girls (7v7)
- 7th & 8th Grade Boys (7v7)
Game Information
- Schedule: Games will be played on Saturdays, starting March 21st, 2026
- Number of Games: 6-game schedule
- Game Locations:
- Pre-K - Kindergarten: De Soto ONLY
- 1st & 2nd Grade: De Soto ONLY
- 3rd - 8th Grade: De Soto, Eudora, Baldwin City, Gardner, or Wellsville

To provide an opportunity for girls and boys to play T-Ball in an organized, recreational setting during the summer. Emphasis is placed on fundamentals, teamwork, playing time, and sportsmanship.

- Equipment Assistance: Gloves, pants, and cleats are available upon request (limited sizes)

- Kindergarteners meeting this requirement are encouraged to play Rookie Ball (New 2025 Program)

- Game Days: Monday - Thursday (maximum of one game per week)
- Total Games: 5-game schedule
- Practice & Game Format: 15 minutes of practice followed by 45 minutes of game time
- Game Locations: All games will be played at De Soto Miller Park

- Format: Hybrid T-Ball / Coach Pitch league for more experienced players transitioning to coach pitch
- Pitching Rules: Players get 3 pitches per at-bat, followed by hitting off the tee if needed
- Game Locations: All games will be played at De Soto Miller Park

Adult Programs and Activities
Yoga
Take an hour out of your busy schedule to re-set. This class allows the body to detox, restore oxygen to muscle tissue, align the spine, and rejuvenate as a whole. Open to all fitness and yoga skill levels.

- Experience: Introduced to yoga in 2015, trained in Vinyasa style but also teaches Hatha and Adaptive yoga.

- Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga gear.

Open Gym Pickleball
Looking for a place to stay active year-round? Join us for Open Gym at the De Soto Community Center!
Schedule:
- Tuesdays: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM
- Thursdays: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM
- Sundays: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
