Voter Registration
Voters should register as soon as possible. The quickest option is online at www.mnvotes.org. Voters can also register in-person at the County Elections Office.
Mail Ballots
All registered voters in vote-by-mail precincts will automatically receive a ballot in the mail. Ballots will arrive shortly after September 21. Voters in mail ballot precincts that are not registered will need to either register, request an absentee ballot, or vote in-person at the County Elections Office.
Absentee Ballots
Voters can apply for a ballot to be mailed to them by visiting www.mnvotes.org or by requesting an application from the county. Any voter can vote by absentee ballot for any reason.
Early In-Person Voting
Both registered and non-registered voters in either mail ballot or live precincts can vote early in-person at their County Elections Office, which corresponds to the county in which they reside, as soon as ballots become available no earlier than September 21. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday plus the Saturday prior to the election from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Polling Locations and Hours
Polling places, will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 6, for all live precincts except Shelby Township, where polls open at 10 a.m. To find your polling location, go to www.pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us
