We’re partnering with the Cedar Trails Exploration Center – Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CTEC CAPS) on a client-connected project to design (and build*) a kinetic (moving) sculpture for the front of City Hall. This artwork will celebrate De Soto’s history, community, and future, while giving students a chance to connect their creativity to a meaningful, real-world project; and they want your input to help shape it!
Help these students design a piece that reflects the heart of De Soto by taking their questionnaire, which covers topics like…
- Which parts of our history or landmarks should be highlighted?
- What emotions or values should the sculpture represent?
- What kinds of movement would make it exciting to see?
This project is a fantastic example of community collaboration, and we couldn’t be more excited to see this one-of-a-kind art piece come to life!
