The De Soto City Council and the Johnson County Board of Commissioners appoint the five members of the Board of Directors for the Northwest Consolidated Fire District (NWCFD). Appointments are made on a rotating basis, each for three year terms. The De Soto Council will soon be making an appointment for a three-year term that starts in January of 2019. The Council is inviting anyone interested in serving on the NWCFD Board to submit a letter of interest and qualifications to City Hall by the end of the business day on January 3rd, 2019.
